Welcome to Bourton House Cattery Sedgley

Bourton House Cattery in Sedgley, West Midlands, was established over 25 years ago & is well known throughout the local area for its great service and care with almost all of our business coming through word of mouth and recommendation. We care about your loved pets and try to make your cat feel at home with as much attention as possible.

Ruth & Graham run the cattery & enjoy all aspects of contact with the cats – whether they be boarding whilst their owners are away or encouraging a nervous rescue cat to eat & purr.

Cattery

Bourton House Cattery is licensed to board up to 70 feline friends in comfort and in secure pens but with all the love they would get at home.

We have 21 pens specifically designed for the single cat all of which have heated bars or pads to keep your pet warm and toasty. 10 of these pens have an outside run area overlooking the wildlife pond at the bottom of the garden, which in the Spring is full of frogs, whilst the block of 4 pens near the office have a great view of the top pond containing a variety of carp and gives a general view of the comings and goings around the cattery.Particularly good for your cat if it likes to have lots of human contact.

The oldest block of pens at our cattery, now known as De Oly Molen, have no outside run but still prove very popular for both the younger, older or indoor cat. We have dedicated this block to a very old family friend who lives in the Netherlands, Edith Storvogel, whom has been an extended part of the family since the Second World War. These 5 pens give the cats a view of the garden with the staff & owners coming & going but also the security of an indoor environment which they may be used to. These pens have heat pads built into the base of the cat bed which proves a firm favourite for those puss cats who don’t like the cold!

Our double pens at the bottom of the garden overlook the wildlife pond & can accommodate 2 cats comfortably, or 3 very friendly housemates. These pens all have thermostatically controlled heating bars in the pens. When really cold, as the double pens have all their food, water & litter trays inside the main pen we are able to lock the pop-hole door to keep the heat, and cats, in the warm.

The final option is a chalet which can accommodate from the single pampered puss, up to 4 sets of paws & claws in the same environment. The chalets have a larger interior floor area with their own individual heaters together with an outdoor run area which includes scratching posts, cushions, shelves & chairs to relax & fall asleep into after another busy day doing nothing.

We are actively recycling all our cat food tins, cardboard boxes and plastic containers,
